Ambroxol + Azithromycin

Uses

Azithromycin and Ambroxol are used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections.

How it Works

How Azithromycin + Ambroxol works Azithromycin + Ambroxol is a combination of two medicines: Azithromycin and Ambroxol, which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. The addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Azithromycin.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Azithromycin and Ambroxol include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, and allergic reactions.
