How Adrenaline and Sodium Metabisulphite Work Adrenaline and Sodium Metabisulphite is a combination of two medications: Adrenaline and Sodium Metabisulphite. Adrenaline is an alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist. It relaxes the muscles of the eyes and dilates the pupils to provide a clear view during eye surgeries. Sodium Metabisulphite is an antioxidant that enhances the stability of Adrenaline and prevents color formation in the injection.

Common side effects of adrenaline and sodium metabisulfite include nausea, vomiting, high blood pressure, and increased heart rate.
