How it Works

How Lidocaine, Acetic Acid, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole, and Ofloxacin Work Lidocaine, Acetic Acid, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole, and Ofloxacin is a combination of five medicines used to treat ear infections. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Acetic Acid serves as an antiseptic. Beclometasone is a steroid medication that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching in the ear. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that prevents the growth of fungi by stopping them from forming their protective covering. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing their reproduction and repair.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Lidocaine, Acetic acid, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole, and Ofloxacin include irritation, itching, and a burning sensation at the site of application.
