How it Works

How Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine work Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine is a combination of two medications: Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline acts as a mucolytic and bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and thinning and loosening mucus, making it easier to breathe. Acetylcysteine is also a mucolytic medication that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine include vomiting, heartburn, rash, itching, drowsiness, breathing problems, nasal inflammation, increased white blood cell count, abdominal discomfort, abdominal distension, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, esophageal bleeding, red spots or bumps, nausea, and dizziness.

  • Acebrophylline + Acetylcysteine aids in the prevention and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
