In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Trilosar 12.5 Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trilosar 12.5 Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, Amlodipine and Chlorthalidone. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Trilosar 12.5 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Trilosar 12.5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Trilosar 12.5 Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Caution Advised: Trilosar 12.5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Trilosar 12.5 Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

If a dose of Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
