How it works
How Prol A Tablet works Prol A 0.25mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alprazolam and Propranolol. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in brain. Propranolol is a beta blocker which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers on the heart and blood vessels. This reduces heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Prol A 0.25mg/10mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Prol A 0.25mg/10mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
