In Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies L Alerid D Tablet is used to treat an itchy, stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, or other symptoms caused by seasonal hay fever (allergic rhinitis). It works by reducing certain substances in the body called histamines that are responsible for the allergic symptoms. It also reduces swelling inside the nose and thus decreases symptoms such as stuffy nose. This helps in easy breathing and makes you feel better. Drink plenty of liquids, including chicken soup. It can make you feel better.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. L Alerid D Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
L Alerid D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Pseudoephedrine, which relieves sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
