How it works
Gemcal -Kit is a combination of four medicines: Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc and Risedronate which treat osteoporosis. Calcitriol is a form of vitamin D which helps your body effectively absorb Calcium Carbonate and additionally supports the muscles needed to avoid falls. Calcium Carbonate and Zinc are minerals which help build and maintain bones. Risedronate is a bisphosphonate which works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Gemcal -Kit as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Gemcal -Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Gemcal -Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

What if I forget to take it?
