It can take several weeks for this medicine to work and you may still feel low during this time. It is likely that you will take this medicine for at least six months but possibly much longer. It needs to be taken regularly to work effectively. Do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.

How it works
Destab C 50mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Desvenlafaxine and Clonazepam. Desvenlafaxine is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) which works by increasing the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline), natural substances in the brain that help maintain mental balance. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Destab C 50mg/0.5mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
