How to use C Cold Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. C Cold Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How C Cold Tablet works C Cold Tablet is combination of four medicines: Caffeine, Cetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever. Caffeine is a stimulant which increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol and decreases sleepiness due to Cetirizine. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from stuffiness in the nose.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with C Cold Tablet.
C Cold Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
C Cold Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
C Cold Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
C Cold Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of C Cold Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
C Cold Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of C Cold Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of C Cold Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
