It stops the growth of infection-causing bacteria, thereby clearing the infection. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. How it works

Probenecid is a uricosuric medicine which increases the effectiveness of amoxicillin by decreasing its passage through urine.
