In Osteoporosis Osteoporosis is a common condition that causes bones to become fragile and brittle so that they break (fracture) more easily. Fractures may be painful and restrict a person?s ability to carry out their normal daily tasks. Alensol-D Tablet reduces the risk of a fracture occurring in osteoporosis. It also helps in the growth and development of bones as well as maintain strong bones. Since osteoporosis doesn?t usually have any symptoms such as pain (until a fracture occurs) you might not ?feel? any immediate benefit from your treatment with Alensol-D Tablet. Keep taking it untill your doctor asks you to stop. Along with medicines, eat a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D like dairy products, green leafy vegetables etc.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.

Alensol-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alendronic Acid and Vitamin D3 which treat osteoporosis. Alendronic Acid is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures. Vitamin D3 helps protect your bones, both by increasing calcium absorption and by supporting muscles needed to avoid falls.

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Safe when prescribed by an expert: Alensol-D Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. If you are taking Alensol-D Tablet during breastfeeding, monitor baby's blood calcium levels during the first two months.
Not Safe: Alensol-D Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Alensol-D Tablet is not expected to have any effects but in rare cases, it may cause dizziness, severe muscle, joint and bone pain and eye pain or inflammation. This may affect your ability to drive.

If a dose of Alensol-D Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
