In Parkinson's disease Adcapone Tablet is one of the most effective medications to relieve symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as tremors, muscle stiffness and difficulty moving. It increases the amount of a chemical called dopamine in the brain which helps in the coordination of body movements. This medicine can therefore enhance the quality of life by improving the ability to carry out daily functions in a better manner.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adcapone Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Adcapone Tablet is a selective reversible inhibitor that is given in combination with levodopa. It works by inhibiting a chemical messenger [catechol-O-methyl transferase (COMT)] which in turn helps in increasing the amount of dopamine (chemical messenger) in the brain. Thus, an adequate amount of dopamine in the brain helps to coordinate body movements.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Adcapone Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Adcapone Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Caution Advised: Adcapone Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Adcapone Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Adcapone Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.
Not Safe: Adcapone Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.
If you forget a dose of Adcapone Tablet , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.
