Practice good oral hygeine like brushing twice daily and rinsing with antiseptic mouth wash 2-3 times in a day to avoid mouth infections in future.

Orowash is a combination of three medicines: Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Sodium Fluoride and Zinc Chloride. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic. It works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, ulcers and other mouth infections. Sodium Fluoride works by making the teeth stronger and preventing decay (cavity) caused by bacteria. Zinc Chloride has antiseptic and astringent action.

Pregnancy

If a dose of Orowash is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Orowash is given for the treatment of mouth infection and its associated symptoms such as ulcers and swelling in the gums. Do not add water to the oral rinse. Do not rinse your mouth with water or other mouthwashes right after using Orowash. Avoid eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth just after using this medication. Do not use Orowash if you have deep oral ulcers or throat infection. Stop using this medicine and inform your doctor if any irritation occurs. If symptoms persist for more than seven days, consult your doctor. Along with using Orowash maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily with a soft bristle brush. Have regular dental checkups at intervals recommended by your dentist (this is normally at least once a year).
