How Vrimolol H Tablet ER works Vrimolol H 50/12.5 Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Hydrochlorothiazide. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Vrimolol H 50/12.5 Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Vrimolol H 50/12.5 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
