In Treatment of Respiratory tract infection Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways, or lungs. Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup is used in children for the treatment of a variety of respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, lung abscess, acute and chronic bronchitis, and sinusitis. Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Bromhexine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin helps in stopping the growth of bacteria. Bromhexine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. This medicine may help your child feel better within a few days, but you should continue giving it as prescribed to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup is a mixture of two medicines, Amoxicillin and Bromhexine. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing the formation of the protective covering of bacteria. Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent that helps thin and loosen mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Together they both act to treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm).
Caution Advised: Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Poxillin Kid Plus Syrup is recommended.
