In Treatment of Bacterial infections Patra DSR Capsule contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints, and bones. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How to use

How it works
Patra DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Patra DSR Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Not Safe: Patra DSR Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Patra DSR Capsule may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Caution Advised: Patra DSR Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Patra DSR Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Patra DSR Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
