Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Bromhexine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin helps in stopping the growth of bacteria. Bromhexine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against the infection-causing bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How it works
Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Bromhexine which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Bromhexine enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.
Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Mycocin 250 mg/4 mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
