How it works
How Isuvaz Injection works Isuvaz 200mg Injection contains Isavuconazole, an antifungal medicine that blocks the activity of an enzyme that aids in the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, the fungus fails to grow and multiply. This kills the infection causing fungus and clears the infection.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Isuvaz 200mg Injection as it is deemed unsafe.
Isuvaz 200mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Isuvaz 200mg Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Isuvaz 200mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Isuvaz 200mg Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Isuvaz 200mg Injection is recommended.
Isuvaz 200mg Injection is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Isuvaz 200mg Injection is recommended.However, clinical monitoring for isavuconazole-related adverse reactions is recommended when treating patients with severe hepatic impairment.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Isuvaz 200mg Injection is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
