How it works How it works

How Cyponine Syrup works Cyponine Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol, which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation. How Cyponine Syrup works Cyponine Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol, which revives appetite.
