Treatment of Typhoid fever / Treatment of Bacterial infections

In Treatment of Typhoid fever Typhoid fever spreads through the intake of contaminated food and water. Children who have typhoid and do not require hospital admission can be well managed with CEFI O TABLET DT at home because of its excellent activity against organisms that cause typhoid fever. In Treatment of Bacterial infections CEFI O TABLET DT is a combination of two different antibiotics that work together, in different ways, to treat various bacterial infections. Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacteria and kills them. Ofloxacin prevents multiplication and repair of infection causing bacteria and prevents further spread of the infection. This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Allergy']

CEFI O TABLET DT contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.

Kidney

Caution Advised: CEFI O TABLET DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of CEFI O TABLET DT may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: CEFI O TABLET DT is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of CEFI O TABLET DT is recommended. However, consult your child€™s doctor before giving $med_name to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.
