How it Works

How Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone work Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to perform vital functions. Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling, and itching following an allergy or infection.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone include eye discomfort, eye irritation, and a burning sensation in the eye.
