How Guaifenesin, Bromhexine, and Phenylpropanolamine work Guaifenesin, Bromhexine, and Phenylpropanolamine is a combination of three medications: Guaifenesin, Bromhexine, and Phenylpropanolamine. Guaifenesin and Bromhexine assist in the removal of mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Phenylpropanolamine acts as a decongestant, narrowing small blood vessels to relieve congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Guaifenesin, Bromhexine, and Phenylpropanolamine include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, indigestion, bloating, dizziness, headache, rash, hives, sweating, high blood pressure, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), and palpitations.
