How Amphotericin B works: Amphotericin B is an antifungal medication that kills fungi by disrupting the fungal cell membrane.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Amphotericin B include nausea, vomiting, chills, headache, anemia (low red blood cell count), decreased potassium levels in the blood, abnormal liver function tests, decreased magnesium levels in the blood, diarrhea, decreased appetite, hypotension (low blood pressure), skin rash, nephrocalcinosis, increased creatinine levels in the blood, abnormal renal function tests, and renal tubular acidosis.
