How to use Macox-ZH Tablet DTFollow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Macox-ZH Kid Tablet DT is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Macox-ZH Kid Tablet DT with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
How it works
How Macox-ZH Tablet DT works Macox-ZH Kid Tablet DT is a combination of three medicines: Isoniazid, Pyrazinamide and Rifampicin which treat tuberculosis. Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering while Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by these bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Pyrazinamide, on the other hand works by slowing the growth of these bacteria.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Macox-ZH Kid Tablet DT , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Macox-ZH Kid Tablet DT may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
